Interest Applied To Payments Made After Suit Interest; Attorney Fees

The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that prejudgment interest should apply to contract payments made after suit is filed and prior to trial.

Rhodes Design & Development was the general contractor for construction of a residential housing development. Rhodes subcontracted the insulation, drywall and painting of several houses to State Drywall, Inc. When the subcontract work was complete, Rhodes had failed to pay invoices totaling $214,252.
