Prime Delays Sub's Installation With Impunity Schedule; Subcontractors

A New York court has ruled that a prime contractor was entitled to postpone a subcontractor's commencement of its installation work with no liability for delay damages.

Sweet Associates, Inc. was the prime contractor on a building project. Sweet awarded a subcontract to Modern Mosaic, Ltd. to fabricate and install approximately 500 precast concrete panels for the exterior of the building.
