Attorney Fees Recovered In Excess Of Cap Bids-protests; Attorney Fees

The Comptroller General has allowed recovery of bid protest attorney fees at rates in excess of the statutory cap. In so doing, the Comptroller General reiterated a roadmap for such recovery on a regular basis.

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. successfully protested the Department of State's award of a contract to a competitor and then withstood the competitor's motion for reconsideration. The Comptroller General recommended that the Department reimburse Inter-Con for the attorney fees it incurred in these efforts.
