Contractor Liable To Sub For Failure To Field Verify Plans And Specifications; Inspection

The Idaho Supreme Court has held a prime contractor liable to a subcontractor for failing to field verify elevations in accordance with the terms of the prime contract.

The State of Idaho awarded a contract to Newby- Wiggins Construction, Inc. to construct a headquarters building in Boise for the Department of Parks and Recreation. The parties utilized the 1987 edition of AIA Document A-201, "General Conditions of the Contract for Construction."
