Quarry Not "On-site" For Wage Rate Purposes Suppliers; Regulations

The Alaska Supreme Court has ruled that a quarry was not "on-site" for purposes of the state prevailing wage statute.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities awarded a contract to Knik Construction Co. to resurface an airport runway in Nome. The contract was subject to the state Little Davis-Bacon Act, AS 36.05.070, requiring contractors on public works projects to pay prevailing wages as determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development.
