Aaa Rules Did Not Alter Limitations Period Statutes Of Limitation; Arbitration

A Minnesota court has ruled that the specificity required by the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) did not alter the commencement of a twoyear limitations period.

Independent School District No. 775 awarded a contract to Holm Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Inc. for installation of a geothermal heat pump system in a new school building. The parties utilized AIA Document A201, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. The General Conditions call for arbitration of disputes in accordance with the Construction Industry Arbitration Rules of the AAA.
